There are a lot of cool aftermarket options that are not headlights. I recommend go with the factory LED package and then get accessory lights to make your Jeep more distinctive/functional.

In general, I'm not a fan of putting LED bulbs into a halogen reflector. While the newer LED bulbs have super output, they, more often than not, have spurious stray light above the cutoff, which translates to glare to oncoming traffic. It really bothers me when I encounter oncoming traffic with a lot of glare from these very popular LED conversions. I really have a hard time seeing when that happens. That's why they aren't legal. And I really don't want to be pulled over for an "equipment" violation.

If the LED package only had headlights, I certainly wouldn't pay for it because it's already been shown that there are LED bulbs you can pop into the halogen housings that provide much higher light output measured in lux and also with a better beam pattern.

The fact that all the other exterior lights are also LEDs is the thing that makes the LED package somewhat worth the big price tag.

Unfortunately, as mentioned it's not an option on Sport models so I did my own headlight upgrade and fog light upgrade.
Wrong! It has been proven by lighting engineers that a reflector has to be built for the specific lamp photo metrics otherwise you get scatter, misdirected beam and glare. You never get a better light.

I agree with you. I get glare from quite a few vehicles that have these LED "bulbs" installed in halogen reflector housings. It's getting more prevalent here in L.A. lately and the glare is getting more severe as the output of available LED bulbs increases. If you flash these guys, they get all offended and aggressive. It's all about them. If they like it and they can see better, it's good to go. 'The rest of the world can ESAD' is their view.
