I wanted to make a quick post about True Mods 9" LED headlights. My wife has a '24 JL Sport S. It's her first 2 door, and she's doing a lot of leg work on upgrades- but she finds things like headlight upgrades to be a practical necessity, and isn't worried about DRLs are halos or any of the other features that tend to increase costs. I agree with her on that front.
She bought the True Mods 9" round LEDS, and I installed them for her.
They come with a DRL if you want it, but it isn't required in TN, so I just electrical taped off the connector to be overly safe. These things are completely plug and play- remove the grill (6 plastic clips at the top with a screwdriver and pull out the clips at the bottom), unscrew the 3 hex head screws in each light. Disconnect the plug. Attach the plug to the new lights, screw in the 3 screws to attach the lights, replace your grill, and voila. They were perfectly aimed for her stock height JL Sport S.
I liked them so much that I bought a set for my '23 Gladiator Rubicon that I just installed this morning. I was originally going to go with Oracle, but I can do a whole lot with $400, so I decided to go with True Mods. I installed them today at 4am so I could test the height of the beam- I don't want to cause anybody to go blind. I am lifted 2.5". There are 3 adjustment screws (5.0mm hex). 2 on the bottom, 1 on the top. I proactively wanted them as low as possible, because my halogen headlights had to be set as low as possible after my lift. I let the top screw out all the way, and fastened the bottom 2 screws as much as the limited clearance will allow. I installed them in less than 30 minutes start to finish, and the test drive was successful in the patch black- I wasn't blinding anybody.
I could probably adjust them up perfectly, but they are good enough for me and I am not concerned that one may throw the beam an inch higher than the other at 100'.
The high beams are super impressive as well. I could not be happier for the $250 I paid for them.
Overall, I give them a 10/10, and this may be one of the best "budget" purchases I've made.
