So, you installed the bracket but just choose to remove the plate for now? That's an easy ticket out here in BC
No I don't even have the bracket (factory or aftermarket) because my dealership still hasn't been able to get me a factory one. And if I get pulled over, that's what I will tell them :punch: I keep the other plate with me in the car just to show that "hey... I'm ready to install as soon as I get this bracket..."

Cops aren't looking for my front plate, anyway... they're too distracted by how damn good the JL Rubi looks :jk:

Curious about this as well. Also, did your JL arrive at dealership with the plastic bracket drilled into the bumper? I'm under the impression that this is not the case. With that, I would just need to advise the dealership to not install it so that I can use the aftrrmarker one instaed. Just don't want to spend the money on it if the plastic bracket comes pre drilled into the bumper at the factory.
I asked my salesman to tell his prep guys not to drill on the plastic part of the steel bumper to install the license plate. They didn't. It is still in the plastic. My state is required to have a front plate. Yeah, I'm braking the law. But my plates aren't here yet, probably another week before they're in.

Does it really only attach to one screw under the bumper? and that holds up well to the constant wind on the front plate and doesn't loosen up and turn it off-center one way or the other as you're driving?
I don't have steel bumpers on my JLUR so it attached with 2 under the bumper, it's very secure. I am planning on upgrading with the aftermarket. I just couldn't stand to drill the bumper.

Hmmm okay - just seemed like a pic I saw showed it only screwed into 1 hole. If you get a pic of the underside of your bumper where it attaches I’d be interested to see

To clarify, there are two variants of the bracket that can be ordered from STO N SHO. One for the steel bumper and another for the plastic bumper. The steel bumper one attaches to the underside of the bumper using a factory bolt and there is no drilling required. I emailed them and they confirmed this. I can't speak to the plastic bumper version, but looking at the pics on website, the plastic bumper version will require two holes to be drilled to the underside of the bumper. Here are the links to both with pics.

No drilling on the plastic, it uses two existing bolts.

Had that exact plate holder on my JK. Pics with winch on the steel bumper didn’t look like that one would work. I’m sure something will come out soon.
IT wont like you said thats for the JK only

I’ve got the Cascadia plate holder sitting with my winch in the garage. Just waiting for the winch plate and then I’ll install it all.

Any idea if the steel bumper one from sto-n-Sho would extend far enough to still fit over a winch?

For that one to work for you you need a winch on front, with a 4-way fairlead and it's rollers..
