Here is a photo of the maximum 3 stealth bracket installed on a rubicon steel bumper. Just received the bracket today, should have the license plates tomorrow.

I've got mine in the Box waiting to install waiting to get my new plates. The top bolt is that just Wing nuts or can you put a regular bolts so someone can't just steal it easy

They supplied both wing nut/bolts and regular bolts so you can choose which one you want. Put the wing nuts on for now may change it when the plates come in. Easy install, you use 3 exiting bolts that attached the skid plate to the bumper to attached the main frame.

Have you done any serious off-roading with it yet? Noticed any trauma to the plate? I'm not worried about some scratches, but ripping up a plate I have to replace would be a hassle.

that one will be okay you're not going to hit anything or rip it off. the other one they sold stuck out waswas strai up and down you would tear that one up if you hit rocks or bottom out hitting something. you will have a hard time ripping that off you have to hit something pretty hard and tear the hell out of skid plate

Just put it on, this morning on the way to work was the first time I have driven the Jeep with it on. They supply the wing nuts so you can easily remove the plate part. The frame is fairly tight to the bottom of the bumper, but I am sure it you hit a bolder right there it will damage it.

I still think it would be hard to hit it you would tear the whole front bumper off if you did that

You are welcome, know what you mean I couldn't find any good side photos before I ordered. Wasn't able to find anything else I liked as much as this one so I just took a chance and ordered.

Yeah, its not as expensive as some of the others as well.

I've covered the Texas license plate laws pretty well, just hoping I dont get some state trooper with a bad day try to give me trouble for it being angled. I've got to get a free weekend soon, I'll have this, my warn winch, my winch guard, and my new plates to install with no break in my work schedule!

As a former deputy I can tell you just about every deputy and trooper in states that require front plates looks at every car they meet coming towards them to see if it has a legally displayed plate. If they aren't going to a call or heading to Krispy Kreme because the fresh donuts light is on and if they can safely turn around they will pull you over. Front plates are helpful for law enforcement because they always have bolos for stolen cars, wanted people, amber alerts, etc. So there is a valid reason for them. Putting it on a dash, having it angled under the bumper, having it covered with mud will probably get you a citation, a fix-it ticket and a thorough inspection for drugs, guns, warrants, poor attire, owl tires on a Rubicon, and other things.
I put a different bumper (steel) on my JK that didn't have a bracket for the plate and because I'm not stupid enough to put a big message on the front saying please pull me over I took a metal license plate frame and some magnets and it is attached to the bumper and is hard to get off.
So why take a chance on a ticket that will cost more than a bracket and just follow the law? You really don't want them looking at other changes to your vehicle do you?
