Mine came with a bracket. It and the screws were in the back storage cubby. Just put it on yesterday. Mounts to the plastic filler for the fairlead opening.
Awesome! That's what I will be hoping for when mine shows up. You are the third or fourth person who has said this so I will be looking for it . Thanks!

I reached out regarding the said aftermarket bracket and got a reply. Apperently, it attaches to a factory bolt. Order placed.

Awesome man, this'll probably be my first aftermarket purchase! Seems useful for when I eventually have a winch in place

Agreed. I didn't spend the extra coin on the steel bumper to have the dealer go all trigger happy with a drill on it.

Does the JL Rubicon come with a front license plate bracket specifically for the steel front bumper for us unfortunate ones who live in states requiring a front license plate?
FYI for anyone: I spoke with Jeep customer service and they assured me that for Jeeps sold in a state where a front and rear license plates are required, the vehicle is required to come with both brackets. They have told me to go back to my dealership, the dealership has now ordered me my front plate mounting bracket.

Agreed but I believe it is the dealership that installs it. I intend to contact mine and request that the not do this so that I may install the aftermarket one upon delivery.

The part of the bumper that the license plate bracket is screwed into is the plastic insert where the winch lead would replace.

I will have to give it some thought. I guess it will come down to wheather I intend to run a winch with the steel bumper.

I’m from PA and we don’t need front plate but I pick up my JLUR from Koons in VA yesterday and they gave me a front plate bracket for my steel bumper. It’s still in plastic in my trunk.

I bought their product and it works great, uses existing hardware under the bumper.

Does it really only attach to one screw under the bumper? and that holds up well to the constant wind on the front plate and doesn't loosen up and turn it off-center one way or the other as you're driving?

Curious about this as well. Also, did your JL arrive at dealership with the plastic bracket drilled into the bumper? I'm under the impression that this is not the case. With that, I would just need to advise the dealership to not install it so that I can use the aftrrmarker one instaed. Just don't want to spend the money on it if the plastic bracket comes pre drilled into the bumper at the factory.

My dealership didn't even have the bracket for the steel Rubi bumper when I got mine - said they will order it for me once it's available. They're still claiming it's currently not available. So they didn't drill anything into mine, but I'd make sure you tell your dealership not to specifically.

With that said, keep in mind that the drilling would still just be into the plastic faceplate for the winch, but you still don't want two holes drilled into that if you're going to consider this aftermarket option.

For right now, I'm just riding around with no front plate, which looks far better anyway. Just can't be ridin' dirty

So, you installed the bracket but just choose to remove the plate for now? That's an easy ticket out here in BC
