Don't use this. You'll have a hell of a time getting them back off. Use some PTFE paste imo.

You don't need much.

For anyone who has changed diff covers (to possibly gain drain plugs as they have been deleted off newer builds)....do you still fill to the bottom of the fill plugs? Since the actual volume may have changed a bit due to mfg of the aftermarket diff cover?

Or an aftermarket diff cover that holds more fluid?

As well follow-up, can the factory rubber gasket be reused with an aftermarket cover like DANA?

Depending on who makes the aftermarket diff cover, they may specify how much to fill with, or indicate to fill until oil starts to come out of the fill hole.

I know Motobilt has the fill volume listed on their website for using their covers, but I believe the aftermarket Dana covers indicate to fill to one of the two holes.

Also, I reused the OEM gasket with my Motobilt covers.
