Hi, guys, my right fog light do not work. There is no power in the socket. I trace it to left fog light where is another socket for both fog lights, but there is also no power in the socket for right site. Left site work fine. I googled that there is only one fuse per front fogs and one rele. therefore I assume that the fuse and the rele is ok.
My question is:
Where are the socket from behind the right front fog lights going?
It loogs like under the left fender.

I try to split the cable from left fog light also to right fog light but it do not work. It flashes two times and then its off, even in the dash there is contoler for for light still shine. Also it sayz in OBD that right fog have short circuite to the ground.

Did you disconnect and clean the connector running to the fog light? The CANBUS is very sensitive to voltage changes for some circuits. You might have some water st the connector.

There is no power (0v) in the connector that distribute the power to both fogs. For left one theres aroun 12V for right one there is 0V. I need tho trace the connector and find out till when its under power and from where there is 0. Maby rele would be bad...

The connector for the fog light harness is gray and should be clipped to the frame under the grill on the passenger side of the Jeep. There are 3 wires in that connector. White/yellow is the driver side light power, white/orange is the passenger side light power, and black is the common ground for both lights. If you have 12v at both white wires on the connector attached to the frame, but no power at the bulb itself, there's a break in the harness inside the bumper. You can check for continuity on the bumper harness itself once you unplug that connector to see if the break is on the power side or the ground side of the circuit.

Good luck!

Yes, you describe connetor, position, volors of witrs correctly. I do not have pover in thos connector for whitr/yellow so gor the driver side. My question is where from this connector-direction to the fuse boclx is another place where I can measure the power for driver side.

OK, I found these images elsewhere on the forum and am putting them in to help. The connector that I posted the picture of is XY101B.

From there, the wiring goes back to connector XY291A, from this image below it's somewhere near the passenger side front wheel? Not sure on it's exact location.

And here's the pinout for XY291A. You're going to check Pin 2 and Pin 22 - those are the Fog Light Control wires.

@The Fixer you made my day. Thanks. I will find and measure 22pin in XY219A.

Has anyone advice about disconnecting this 34 pin connector (XY291A in the posting above). I’m trying to trace back a similar short in the fog light wiring. I’ve pulled back the locking lever arm but so far I haven’t been able pull the connector apart and I don’t want to wreck it.

It’s the one in the passenger wheel well behind the fender liner. It’s pretty low and looks like it gets lots of abuse: water and mud. This thread was a godsend for trying to figure out how the fog lights work.
