LOL paper towels but there is TP stashed elsewhere.
Just kidding about the TP. I also replaced the key locks with a three digit combo lock to match my center console vault. You never know when a riot might break out on the highway.

At my request, Offspring has been experimenting with subtle vinyl colors, and font sizes, to produce a decal of my design for placement on the soft top header bar. It's going to say IN THE EVENT OF EMERGENCY, THIS VEHICLE MAY BE USED AS A WEAPON.

The idea has been in my head for a long while now, ever since observing that very message on the military vehicles in which I was a passenger or, occasionally, the driver.

I say "subtle" because I still have to reconcile how readable the text may be, even if upside down, by following drivers when the top is lowered.

I like it. I have used Zazzle to print magnetic bumper stickers In the past. That’s a lot of words for a standard sized bumper sticker, but would work on an oversized sticker. Unfortunately, the target audience probably can’t read.

At some point I saw a rack made by WPN Gear that attached to the rear seat back. It used the car seat hook for part of the mount. It seems that this company may have gone out of business.

In a rifle case, out of view and locked up. My days of working with a AR and shotgun mounted in a vehicle in plain view are a distant memory. Happily so.
My friends house was broken into specifically because of the NRA decal on his truck. All they stole were the guns they could get their hands, which were locked up.

He bought a better safe after that.

I have 3 safes.
One of them is just for ammo...
They weigh about 800lbs empty but I suppose with enough time and effort they could be wheeled out on an industrial appliance cart ( that's how they came in)
Fortunately the cop car in my next door neighbor's driveway makes for a pretty quiet street...

I use my 2023 jl rubicon for fishing and hunting. I have an overhead rifle rack that I took out of my 04' TJ but it doesn't work in the jl, too low. What do you all use for a rifle rack?
I forget the brand, but the same one that the Texas Game Wardens use.. that sh*t's legit!!

It'll take up the center of your rear seat, but well worth it in my opinion! I believe it can fit up to four rifles standing straight up! Pretty nice setup honestly!

There's a couple different brands that sell this style, and couple different ways to mount it, but in most cases you end up losing the legroom in your backseat for the center seat. But if you don't mind that, it's a pretty legit system!

Got to love that about rural Texas.

Outside of the occasional meth head, most people are afraid to even knock on your door at night. My jeep's basically been unlocked for 3 years now. No one messes with your stuff where I'm at. I think everybody's too afraid to get shot in the face, especially after dark!

There was a lady a good number of years ago who left her purse on the roof of her car, and a guy knocked on her window trying to tell her that her purse was on her roof while she was at a stoplight, and she shot the dude because she thought she was getting robbed.. it was back before California started importing their homeless people. No charges were filed against her. It was after dark and she was well within her rights. Just goes to show, even acts of kindness don't pay after dark in Texas!

Good number of years ago, I had a dude almost shoot me when I was delivering a pizza to his house THAT HE ORDERED. Also happen to be the last day I worked for Pizza Hut. :CWL: :CWL:
Pretty sure the sticky-icky was involved too.. 😒
I don't think there's too much that is worth losing your life for. Probably better to stay away from other people in Texas if you can.;)

I predict the perp that uses that targeting methodology is going to FAFO and find himself in need of a really good major medical plan.

During a bygone era that was a pretty reliable deterrent. Unfortunately, police cars in many areas have frequently become targets in the last 15 years...both for break ins and vandalism.
