all the difference in the world. I have been on the sport shocks, rubicon shocks, rocksport JKS shocks, and finalyl made the jump to the Falcon 3.3's well worth the money. Jeep is so much better off and on road. I also love the adjustability of them

Another thing to note, non-reservoir shocks are very difficult to service or are not serviceable at all. Fox 2.0 IFP shocks for example are not something we offer tuning or rebuilds on. We do however service and custom tune remote reservoir shocks. They are designed to be opened up, rebuilt, tuned etc. Not only do remote reservoir shocks offer more oil volume, but they also operate under lower pressures than an IFP shock which can help keep the shock seals happy. Happy seals = longer life span. A serviceable shock has a lot to be desired for off-road vehicles where carnage is common. A damaged shock can be repaired vs needing to be replaced is great to have. Talking about lead times, that can be a serious issue if you are forced to wait months to get a replacement shock vs a few weeks to get repaired.

Here is an article that may help answer some further questions:

Seems to me that if you don't plan to go on extended runs on off-road trails where you would heat up the oil and thus lose performance, it's not worth it unless you put a high value the other cool factor.
Agreed and the extended trails that would heat up the oil are from going KoH speeds, not crawling. I do extended runs but I'm crawling 3 MPH, I can't image I need the extra cooling.
