I just have to ask - no matter how ridiculous this is....

Is there any way to program ANY of the buttons on the steering wheel (preferably the rear paddle buttons) to activate a windshield wiper swipe?

Multiple times, every single outing I am bombing down logging roads - and even if it's sunny out - Will hit a puddle and instantly the windshield is covered and I can't see - unless I take a hand off the wheel to activate the wipers - but with the bumpiness and speed it's just dangerous...

If I could just press a button on the wheel it would increase the safety of my rides 100X

If it's not possible I just want this thought to be put out of its misery! Thanks!

I don’t think so.

however, you can activate the wipers and keeping your hand on the wheel by simply pulling the lever forward, towards you, with your fingers. Thumb and palm still on the wheel, fingers pull. Done.

have you tried that?

Supposedly the new Stinger Height 10 head unit allows you to re-map your steering wheel buttons, now whether it will allow setting a button for wipers I am not sure.

I use to run Nitto Ridge Grapplers and they seemed like they were designed to channel water from the ground directly onto the windshield. Tires make a difference, just an observation

There's an empty button space (@least mine does have as most do also) on the right hand side of the steering wheel controls. This space could probably used for that ........now the hard part .. the buttons read resistance values through some controller ..I haven't seen the one for the JL but I imagine the tech is the same as 20yrs ago. It might be possible that this blocked out part the steering control pad might be already set up to put in an additional feature ..as I have seen certain models of other brands do years ago. Its possible in my opinion

Push up on the wiper stalk with your finger and it will wipe once, or hold it up and it will continue to wipe. No need to take your hand off the wheel.

Where's the fun in that? ;) Don't you think it a worthwhile preoccupation to do things like make the vehicle horn and lights activate in unison when the wife pulls down her vanity mirror? ;)

"Honey, what did you do!!" ;)

You know the trick where you ask the (size legal) child in the front passenger's seat to adjust the radio volume that you counterbalance with the switch behind the right side of the steering wheel.....asking if the child is listening to you if mock harsh tones.....

it only works so many times! ;)
