My new-to -me 2019 Rubicon unlimited had a coolant leak last week, and my husband is repairing tonight. He got me to pickup some coolant-last time I just stopped by the dealership & picked up a jug, but I suspect the cost is what made him as me to go to the local Napa & get 2 jugs of this.

On a previous vehicle we had caused problems from using inferior product. Will this be ok for my Jeep??
*Edit to add* I’m in Alberta, Canada

That coolant looks like it would work in your Jeep, However it doesn't meet the Jeep MS.90032 specifications. Additionally this NAPA coolant is only rated for 5 years whereas the Mopar coolant is rated for 10 years. In my area the Mopar coolant is the same price as this NAPA coolant.

This is the concentrated Mopar coolant

This is the 50/50 ready to use Mopar coolant

Double check the language in the Owner's Manual, Tammy. It probably stipulates a coolant that is "OAT" only, meaning Organic Additive (or Acid) Technology. Avoid coolants with HOAT, POAT, or particularly any that are sold as "universal", which blends the ratings.

Yes, it's best to use OEM-branded antifreeze, if you can source some easily.

The Mopar is double the price here, but I’d rather pay it than wreck something else…

I miss the good ol days when (like in the movie Red Dawn) you could just pee in the radiator if the coolant level got low.
You can still do that. Urine boils at 130C/266F which, unlike water, is higher than the operating temperature of the engine.

I'd add a disclaimer here but if you're dumb enough to use urine as coolant when better options are available, you do you.

Don't use that orange crap, that is the old version of coolant and they are incompatible. Napa doesn't have a violet generic coolant yet. Zerex G30 or OEM.

Gotta love that weasel wording they did there. It is "compatible" with MS-12106 coolant. Not that it meets the spec. I still wouldn't use it.

This is the correct MOPAR coolant.

Just purchase the Mopar OAT 50/50 mix Antifreeze, from your Jeep Dealer. Or order it on Amazon.

Excuse me but what better options are there when you are dealing with Cubans that have invaded your High School?

In that situation there likely isn't one.

But if instead you're dealing with a High School Musical, maybe choose another option. That choice isn't going to go over very well.
