Hi! My first post here. I'm planning on replacing the 12-volt battery on my 2019 Rubicon Unlimited tomorrow and was wondering if there are any unique procedures on a battery replacement for this mild hybrid? I've replaced countless batteries in other types of cars but because this model has the 48-volt lithium hybrid battery I just want to make sure it's like a traditional battery swap. Battery and terminal access seem quite easy. Thanks!

yes, it's just like a regular battery. I've popped mine out for trickle charge occasionally, and also replaced the OEM with an antigravity this spring.

to be perfectly clear - there's no interaction with the 48V/mild hybrid system. we don't even have the annoying spare battery buried under the main 12V - I checked when I was wiring in trailer signal/lighting connections. empty space in that slot, so it's really just the big one on the passenger side (for us).

personally, I'm wondering if/when aftermarket or secondhand 48V batteries become a thing. given the warranty, probably not before I start looking seriously at EV conversion...
