The Grimmoffroad brake lines just got back in stock yesterday.
I have these and they are great. Do the rears while you are at it too.

This is why I get pissed off. Why can I get this type of good info from a forum and the mechanics never mentioned that as an option.
It depends...some mechanics don't know there's a difference in the brake parts, some dealerships will only install stock parts, etc. I only knew they would work because I'd been looking up brake upgrades and found some old threads here.

I'd read some posts on JL Owners on Facebook and quite a few threads on here and realized it was gonna be impossible to find OEM Sport parts after the hose failed on her '18. The term they use in my son's dealership is "intergalactic backorder" - happens a lot in Ford land too. My local Mopar guy couldn't give an ETA on parts, and neither could the parts guy at the dealer....we had the failure in early August and there was no date in the system on when they would be restocked. Even Rockauto, Autozone, Advance, etc. all turned up empty. I couldn't leave my wife's Jeep laid up that long, so I used the VIN number from my son's JLUR to get all the correct parts ordered instead, and my son installed them at home.

Mopar must be having some issues with parts because the Jeep dealerships are buying Grimm lines from us regularly.
Yup, they've been backordered for at least two months now, with no ETA available as of early August when I was looking. The fact that they're not even available from your local auto parts store in a different brand besides Mopar is really concerning - it's a common failure point on the JK and JL, you'd think they would catch up!
