Hi all,
I’m purchasing a set of KO2s for my Jeep and they are only available in OWL (outside white lettering) in my size. I prefer black sidewall. I understand I can flip the tires, but am wondering if there are other options for removing the white lettering…. Appreciate any suggestions, thanks!

I know people have used white paint pens to create white letters, so I am guessing you can use black paint pens to take them off. I have no experience with this though.

Flip them. They'll get dirty on the inside walls and you won't notice the lettering after some miles.

this is the general plan, but the spare is going to cause my OCD to go a bit crazy. I may try nail polish remover. That shit works wonders on lots of label type things

Can't tell you..shhh
As I understand it, the tires are made with a layer of white rubber covered by a layer of black rubber meaning there is no "removing" the white letters. Probably the best bet is to reverse them and let nature (dirt) do the rest.

Forgot about the spare, yep that would bother me too. Black permanent marker may work… may require some experimentation.

I'm not sure it's possible. Those letters are indestructible. This weekend some asshole in a Tesla Model 3 wasn't paying attention and drifted into my lane, resulting in my rear 35" tire rubbing against his front passenger wheel, tire, and fender. We were going about 50mph. Didn't touch my wheel, but the white letters were completely black. Sprayed some tire cleaner on when I got home and with a bit of scrubbing the letters looked white as the driven snow.

I don't think you can get the white off as it's in the rubber as stated. In the past I've used satin black and sprayed them before flipping to inside.

This

There used to be guys going around to used car lots that would grind white walls on mismatched tires to make them look the same. Havent seen that in some time but I'm sure they are still out there.

You could do that, make them white walls. I'm sure you be the only one.

Commercial-grade marine paint will stay on rubber/tires but might be tedious to apply precisely to lettering. You may also want to try an acrylic paint pen although it is primarily for indoor applications. The acrylic paint pen might be the choice for spare tire once you flip the others, since you have the option to flip the spare too and it would hide the body facing lettering where it still shows.
