Update from Jeep Dealership: everything looked good except my steering damper, they said it was “weak”. I declined the $450 service because I can do this myself. I just find it hard to believe a weak stabilizer could’ve been the cause, but i guess I’ll order one and see if it’s fixed.

Funny enough mine hasn’t either, which makes me question if it would be the ball joints.

I will definitely use this, thanks for the write up. I like the idea of putting the tires against a curb and turning for resistance, hadn't thought of this.

Have done both steering stabilizer recall and aluminum steering box TSB.

I already sold my first Jeep and ended up coming back 2 years later, so I have no doubt if I sold again it would happen again!

I actually ordered some from All Mopar Parts and they arrived yesterday to try to fix this, hoping to get installed this weekend.

They have about 30k miles on them, installed at 10k. I’m not saying this isn’t the culprit, I just don’t want to replace every component until something fixes it.

Getting a 100 mph speeding ticket.

Had my first case of death wobble going down the highway. Happened twice on the same 20 minute drive. Got up under the Jeep and made sure everything was torqued. Might be replacing ball joints soon…
