This thread made for some good reading. Now I've got knuckles potentially on my list, but we'll see what the DT ball joints do.

I saw someone made mention of the install kit, so I looked it up. I don't know how I missed that before, is it completely necessary to have that install kit? I only ask since I'm an impatient child and was hoping to do the balljoints this weekend along with the SS Yeti Tie Rod. NR4x4 says up to 30 days to get the install kit drop shipped from DT! I will call DT this afternoon after work, if the install kit is absolutely necessary.

The off road pages was a good idea....Turning Lt I get 40, turning Rt 38......I will have to try to keep to Lt turns on the trails! Still can’t be worse than a JT. ?

Not super necessary if you can find something to fit around the face that wont damage the boot to help press it. It made it very easy

All depends on your BJ kit? My press has a cup the same size so I bought the install kit but didn’t use it. I think the tapered cup for the Dana C is more important honestly.

That's what I figured. I'll just get the damn install kit. My inner impatient child isn't gonna be happy when I tell him..

I was planning on just getting a rental from the parts store, so I guess when the BJs get here tomorrow or Thurs I can run them down with me and see if their cups match up. Do you still have the install kit?

Honestly I don’t remember if I did anything with them or not. I can check when I get home tonight. I can’t believe I would not have kept them.

If the rental BJ press ends up not being what I need, I'll pay ya for your time and effort (plus the cost of material and shipping obviously)

Most of the places out by me have OTC rentals, pretty sure that’s what my press is.

The "Powerbuilt" brand that Advanced Auto loans looks like a pretty comprehensive set. I'll look around for the OTC brand as well. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the link. Seems like that is more important than the brand of BJ tool used.
