I have not been able to find much about anybody discussing regearing with the 2.0t. I was wondering for anyone has regeared with the 2.0t what did you choose (4.88? 5.13?) and how do you like it. preferably anyone with 37s who regeared i personally have 37x13.50 ridge grapplers and am looking for a regear

In about two weeks I'm having 4.88's installed, so I'll let you know then. :like:

I went back and forth with the 4.88 vs. 5.13 dilemma. I ultimately decided on the 4.88's due to not wanting the smaller pinion head size of the 5.13 (yes, the 4.88 is smaller than the 4.10 but wanted to keep as large of pinion as possible) and keeping the highway RPM close to stock for fuel mileage. If this Jeep was an off-road only rig, then I would've gone with 5.13's.

No first hand experience just interested but I watched a youtube video one time a guy had 37's and went to 5.13. Overall he was happy but learned the 8 speed would only drop 2 gears when pedal put to floor. It would not use 8th with the 4.10 so a shift from 7-5 would happen which to his surprise resulted in quicker acceleration than the 8-6 with the 5.13 when passing on the highway. Haven't seen anyone else mention that so might be an early JL quirk but thought it was worth a mention when considering which way to go.

O-H!! Just wondering what you went with and if you're pleased with the outcome. I have 35's on my '21 and have not re-geared but am looking for input to see if the $2K cost makes sense or if I just wait until I need new tires down the road and regear if I go with 37's or larger. Thanks!
