Highly recommend Courtesy Jeep in San Juan Capistrano CA. I worked with Rob Trachtman, ordered on Oct.1 and picked up Nov. 1. 5% below invoice, upfront and honest. Easiest car buy experience ever!

I first read that as 1.5% below invoice...

I was thinking, well at least it was an easy car buying experience

Can someone tell me how to find the invoice price ? Obviously the MSRP is posted right on the window. Is their a standard difference between MSRP and invoice ? Thanks

I do not know of a standard difference between the two but if there is one, that would be good to know.

Sometimes you can get it off the build sheet from the dealer. The second column “FWP” is the invoice price.

I have received plenty of quotes and build sheets where they purposely omit that number but then you can always just ask. They will claim invoice is what they paid for the vehicle but I don’t believe that’s accurate

Look at the top of this section. There’s interactive guides to build your wrangler and all invoice prices are on there.

Question:

Invoice price is FWP (Factory Wholesale Price) right? Not the MSRP?

Thanks

Yes, FWP is the Invoice amount that most people use to calculate the discount on.

For those in the northeast trying to find a good dealer, I recommend working with Mark at Fitzpatrick in Ansonia, CT (near New Haven since nobody knows where Ansonia is). Very upfront, honest and fair transaction. I have bought many new cars over the years and my overall experience was similar to what I experienced with my Mercedes purchase. He also was the one who organized the group buy on the forum over the summer.

Getting ready to build a RUBICON. Buildout is coming in around 57K. What are you guys finding to be out the door pricing before tax? Not sure how hard to push these guys and don’t want to be ripped off either.

Has anyone here made a group purchase? Let say 5 or 10 JL?

While reading this thread I saw best discount as 8% below Invoice.

If 10 people here get together and made 10 purchases don't you think its possible to get 10% below Invoice?

Finished my dealership hunt and placed my order on Saturday. Summarizing my recommendations below for those searching in the Midwest, specifically near St. Louis.

These are not all the quotes I received, but those that were great to work with and I would have been more than happy to order from if the numbers and their location made sense for me.

St. Louis Metro Area: *all around 3% below invoice, but if staying local to StL, highly recommended.
- Lou Fusz, Robert Rice, [email protected]
- Century, Craig Johnson, [email protected]
- Victory Lane, Carlinville IL, Terry Pollard, [email protected]

2nd Best Quote: *5.5% below invoice
- Jim Butler, Linn MO, Steve Boekmann, [email protected]

Best Quote: (where I ordered) *7% below invoice
- Tyson Motors, Shorewood IL.
- I ended up working with a finance manager because my recommended sales agent that I first e-mailed, Jason Beltran, is out on leave.

Honorable Mentions:
- Ed Martin, Indianapolis, Jeremy Greer, [email protected] - 4.5% below invoice
- Superior, Conway AK, Kim Sims, [email protected] - 6% below invoice

Want to thank this board for all the help. With the help of all I learned here, I Just took delivery on by 2020 Rubicon Unlimited Build from Mike Clinnin at Mall of Georgia Chrysler Jeep. Ordered on 10/23/2019 and it arrived at dealership on 11/5/2019. Easy to deal with Mike thru emails. Attached is the Build with invoice pricing.

MSRP $50,320 Invoice $47,606, 7% below invoice, my price without taxes & License was $44,274, plus a $599 dealer fee. To get 7% below I had to get Tread Lightly Membership and finance with dealer, otherwise 5% below. Interest Rate on financing was 2.94%, a good deal. They handled all the North Carolina Sales Tax and Title for me.

My trade in was valued at $1,200 less than Carmax, so I did not trade in. No pressure on warranty or other dealer add ons, finance guy only asked once, Everyone was great to deal with.

I bought my NEW 2018 JLU from Tooele Motors in Utah, near Salt Lake City. They were great: to the point, well-organized, on top of things and very friendly.

I found a leftover 2018 with the V6, automatic, Selec-Trac, rear LSD, Tow, Safety Group, Alpine Sound sitting on their lot. It had an MSRP of $50,000; listed for $38,800. Called in, put a deposit and flew out there. They picked me up from the airport, finalized all the paperwork and was on my way 45 mins later.

Although I live 1,000 miles away, I’d buy from them again. I just wish they were my local Jeep dealer!
