Before ordering my JLUR, I read every post in this thread. I wanted the best deal with zero hassle so I emailed my specs to Courtesy in San Juan Capistrano; Marsh in Las Vegas; Rodeo/Earnhardt in Queen Creek, AZ; Dennis Dillon in Caldwell, ID; and Peterson in Nampa, ID.


All were professional and did not pester me. I got the final, bottom-line cost by working through their quotes on my build, doc fees, trade-in allowance, TreadLightly discount (everyone honored it), California sales tax issues, finance discount plus interest vs cash price, and a reduction of trade-in value due to added mileage driving it to a distant dealer. I also factored in the cost and time spent driving to the various dealerships to take delivery on my new JLUR.


I ultimately ordered from Kent Shurtleff at Peterson Jeep in Nampa, ID. Kent is a straight-shooter and a real pleasure to do business with. I went with Kent for the following reasons:


He gave me the best price on my build at 7.75% below invoice.


He tied for the best trade-in allowance. However, he was the only one who guaranteed in writing that the trade-in allowance would not change due to mileage from it being my daily drive while the Jeep was being built and me driving it 1,000 miles to the dealership from Arizona.


I really didn't expect to go to Idaho for my new Jeep but I saved thousands by doing so.


If you're anywhere near Idaho, at least get a quote from Kent at 208-741-1289.

I wouldn't just call a salesman up and ask for 7-8% off invoice--nobody will agree to that. What did work for me and has worked for others in this thread is to first figure out what you want in your build. I did this by reading this forum and visiting local dealerships. ( I also told the local dealerships that I would get a quote from them when I was ready to buy.) I called the dealers who members in this thread said treated them right and gave them a minimum of 6% off invoice. I only told them that I got their info from this forum so they hopefully would know that I wasn't some lookie-lou and asked for their email info to send them my build for a quote.

Add me to the list of happy customers of mike clinnin at mall of Georgia cdj. I saw his info on the forum and contacted him through email. He was very prompt and transparent. He offers 5% under invoice no strings attached and an extra percent each for tread lightly and financing through their dealership. I got 7% under invoice on a special order 2020 Sahara. their financing was through capital one and I got 3.2% which beat my local credit union I always use. I was an out of state buyer and they handled all of my states taxes and registration. There was no pressure for add ons when doing the financing and signing all paperwork. They asked if we wanted an extended warranty, I politely declined, and that was the end of it. This was the easiest car buying experience I’ve had. I would recommend Cedar City Motor Company, in Cedar City, UT. I just bought my 2019 2-door JL Rubicon for what I thought was a fantastic price. MSRP was $48,998, and out the door price was $42,755.

Just finished up my order for a 2020 Rubicon with Baxter in Omaha, NE. It took some wheeling and dealing (about 30 emails worth), but I got them to go 7% under invoice with them eating the doc fees. It’s not as good as the deals happening in Idaho; but it’s about 1,100 miles closer to home. Now the dreaded wait begins.

Hey Everyone! I wanted to give a shout out to Alex Kahn at Nyle Maxwell-Austin. This was our very first Jeep purchase and we couldn’t be happier! Ordered 9/7, arrived 10/3, and picked it up 10/4.

After hours and hours of research and recommendations from this forum, we ended up ordering our 2020 Sahara from Alex Kahn at Nyle Maxwell Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Austin. Alex K. matched our 7% under invoice deal (with Tread Lightly) with absolutely no hassle and no back and forth! Very painless! Doc fee was $157 with no other added (misc) fees other than the normal tax, and tags. There was no requirement to finance with the dealer either. We highly highly recommend him! He was extremely helpful, honest, eager to give us the price we wanted, very enthusiastic/outgoing and just as excited about our 2020 Jeep build as we were. He made the whole process painless and made us feel like we were his #1 customer! He went the extra mile with texting us updates on our build (even on his days off), quickly responding to any questions we had, sending us pictures when it arrived on the lot and even when it was on the truck on his way into work. The only time we had to step foot in the dealership was to pick up our JEEP. Their Finance department had us in and out in less than 20 minutes as we had worked out all the details ahead of time and we were preapproved so we knew what rate we qualified for and Lauren was able to match it so we gave them our business. I had a similar experience with Alex, and would highly recommend giving him a shout if you are contemplating doing a factory order in the Austin/Hill Country area, or really anywhere in Texas. I saw this recommendation and sent an email to Alex asking if he would do the 7% under invoice with an affiliate code and he responded within minutes. I think he does a fair number of these deals because he had the process down cold, it was super straightforward with no hassle at all. We did the entire deal over email until I went in today to pick up my Jeep. There were no hidden fees, no requirement to finance with them and no dealer adds. I really couldn't have been happier with how the whole thing went.

Picked up our new JLUR from Jim Marsh. Couldn’t be more excited! The transaction was smooth and straightforward. No surprises. Got 5% off FWP price with Tread Lightly Discount on our special order. Went to the Casinos and won the balance of the payment! ..... just kidding



We negotiated everything over email and one phone call. We even negotiated a price for our trade-in vehicle and feel like we got a fair price for it. Everyone we met at the dealership was top notch and friendly. No pressure to buy a lot of stuff we didn’t want.



Would definite recommend these guys to anyone willing to travel to Las Vegas to pick up your new ride.



Only down side is that it suffers from the steering problem so many vehicles seem to have. Was hoping that issues was fixed by now, but it isn’t.

Update: Had the alignment checked and the front left wheel was out of spec. Drives like a "Normal" vehicle now on surface streets below 45 mph. Still need to test it a highway speeds on a calm day. Finally getting excited again about my purchase.

I bought my JL from Tooele Motors (https://www.tooelecjdr.com/) near Salt Lake City, UT, and drove it home 1,000 miles in WA.

They were great: had the Jeep listed for $11,200 OFF (it is a 2018). We agreed to the numbers over the phone, they took down a deposit, picked me up at the airport, the Jeep was all cleaned and ready, signed all the paper and I was on my way in 45 mins!

They knew exactly how to handle an Out-of-State purchase, and had all the necessary documents I needed to register my vehicle delivered to my home without a glitch.

My salesman Devin Van Komen was friendly, kept me updated, and took care of all the details.

I’d strongly recommend them if you are looking for a Jeep!
