Coincidentally this morning I followed in what looked to be a slightly lifted and on bigger tires JK. The back of the soft top barely rubbed on the sign as they went in. Maybe I can convince the local dealer that has had one on their showroom floor for a while to drive it over and try going into...
Thanks all. Seems like the answer is what I didn't want to hear.
The parking garage next door would work. But it's a public garage vs a private garage.
Maybe some day. But not just based on ability to fit vehicles in garages lol
Long story but somehow my '20 Ocean Blue manual Rubicon magically transformed into a '22 Tuscadero auto Rubicon that my girlfriend now drives. My daily for now is a Charger Redeye, which is fine for the summer but not such a good choice year round somewhere that snows. It's a few months before...
The usual intake/exhaust/tune will get you a little. At the very least you'll get more noise so it sounds like you have more power.
Personally I wouldn't bother and I would keep saving for the supercharger.
I'm a big fan of the Dirty Dog 4x4 netting to cover the back as well as the divider to put behind the front seats. As long as you leave the rear doors on it's a contained compartment for them with the seats folded down.
Thanks everyone. Went out and measured last night and with the hard top on it looks like closer to 73". Tough to get exact with just a tape measure and me being less than 6' tall. But I think I'm good! At least with the hard top - I assume the soft top will bump it up a bit but not enough that I...
Has anyone actually measured their JLUR? Parking at my company works based on seniority, and the best garage is also the shortest. The entrance signs say 6'4". I just got my upgrade offer to park in the good garage. My JK fit but didn't leave me feeling great in terms of clearance. Would a JLUR...
A few years ago I sold my JK to a kid in HS. He was maybe older than 16 but still in HS. My JK was a 2 door Rubicon with a Ripp supercharger. I thought it was a bad idea for a new driver to have it. With the short wheel base, once the power came on a bit if the roads were wet the back end could...
I ordered my last 2 cars. Before that I bought 3 cars off the lot. Whenever practical in the future I will order again. It's a much better experience and easier all around. The trade in is the only part that gets a little complicated but there are ways to make it work without too much trouble.
Before this I had a GLA45. The camera was better than the JL as well. Especially at night - looked like it had some sort of infrared or possibly just a software layer to improve low light situations. Plus, it flipped away when not in use so it wasn't dirty all of the time
I have no issue with the resolution on the camera but I do wish it wasn't dirty all of the time. My last car's camera folded away when not in use so was basically always clean. The JL is basically always dirty which makes the image look like crap.
Find a dealer who is reasonable and talk to them about what your options are. Since you want cash to buy parts on a car that you're making payments on (which makes no sense to me, but sure if that's your thing), they may be willing to give you X for your trade, apply Y to the JL and give you...
Roughly as big as my dog's head :) He can shove his head through if he really tries. He's a 70lb lab with a fat head, so probably around 7"x7"
I have only had my JL for a week but haven't had any real issues on my last 2 vehicles that I had similar setups on. Hard plastics will get superficial...
My dogs are spoiled and get the whole back with the seats folded down. I used DirtyDog 4x4 dividers and netting on my JK and plan to do the same on my JL. I use the divider that goes right behind the front seats but they also make a divider for behind the rear...
Just picked mine up on Saturday at Fitzpatrick's in CT. So far enjoying it! Way different than what I got rid of (1 pic of that includes, a GLA45). Also very different from my JK. It feels bigger than I remember the JK feeling, but that could just be because I was driving the GLA for the past 3...
For those in the northeast trying to find a good dealer, I recommend working with Mark at Fitzpatrick in Ansonia, CT (near New Haven since nobody knows where Ansonia is). Very upfront, honest and fair transaction. I have bought many new cars over the years and my overall experience was similar...
I haven't seen much in the Northeast. I'm in central CT so could travel a bit. Tried to reach out to the local dealer but their internet sales person hasn't been helpful. Does anyone have any good dealers and salespeople to work with in CT/MA/RI/eastern NY?
