My a/c has been struggling this summer, but only in the afternoons. I am parked in the garage or shade most of the time. I notice the air coming out of the vents is warm in the afternoon even after a long period of highway driving.
I feel pretty confident I would’ve noticed it performing this poorly in years past. I had it checked out and they said it blew 56 degrees. It’s definitely not blowing that cold in the afternoon. It does blow cold in the morning.
Is there a reliable way to test if the recirculate button is working? My wife’s car it runs faster when I switch.
edit:
I was able to see it opening and closing when the glove compartment is off. The cabin air filter isn’t installed correctly. I’m going to just buy a new one.
