Hello All,

I’ve been following the forum for a long time but just registered today. We took delivery of our new Rubicon this past Friday, 5/10. It was 60 degrees Friday and Saturday so we had no need for the A/C. Yesterday it warmed up and we turned it on for the first time. There is a strange hissing sound coming from the vents and the air is no cooler than the outside temps. It’s going back to the dealer this afternoon. I’ve done research and the only possibility I’ve come up with is a bad condenser. If this is the case, I’m wondering if it’s major surgery or a fairly straight forward replacement. I would also be interested in hearing other suggestions as to what may be wrong. Will post updates as I have them. Thanks.

Just picked up the Wrangler from the dealer. They added 14 ounces of Freon. Tested for leaks and found none. They think it shipped from the factory without a full charge. It’s blowing cold now. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
