I think I found a permanent fix. Drilling the hole in the lid is only a temporary fix as the issue will return. What we need to do is drill a hole in the BOTTOM of the washer fluid reservoir, something like a 1/4" bit should do the trick. Once that reservoir is completely empty, you should no longer see any leakage or drips on the rear window. :giggle:

DISCLAIMER: That was a complete joke and I really am hoping a permanent fix is on the way soon. DO NOT drill a hole in the bottom of your washer fluid reservoir, or anywhere else for that matter, based on the advice in this post.
Damn, why didn't I think of this..... that is a great permanent fix for sure........ Maybe I can get the dealership to do it under warranty........... LOL

How's the mod holding up? Any leaking since then? BTW thanks for the hack and for being the Guinea pig! :like:
It’s been holding up good, I have zero leakage since drilling the hole. There is a slight fluid trail down the glass but I’m pretty sure that’s from when I used the fluid to clean the rear window.

Well my cap is completely off and it still drips so for a temp fix and I mean temp fix I trimmed a super tiny square of monster brand duct tape and covered the port that the fluid comes out of, yes this will prevent use of the rear washer workrking but the tape comes off easily and maybe in the mean time a permanent fix can be made by the maker.

Annoying but I unplug the hose. Don't need the washer vert often.. but they need a fix it regardless
So you unplugged the hose from the back window ? And if so what did you plug the hose with

@JeepCares needs to escalate this to have it addressed, I know it’s not an issue to some but for me after a long detail job nothing ruins it like a dribble down the back window, and it’s a dribble that does not stop.

@JeepCares Should we all be PM'ing you with our VINs and mileage so you can document this for all of us?
Yes. Everyone is welcome to send their VIN and mileage so that I can create cases and document further on your behalf.

@JeepCares thanks Darlene, we hope it gets addressed soon, nothing spoils a great detail job like a dribble down the window.

I pm'd @JeepCares with my info, hopefully something will get done. In the meantime, I pulled the tubing off my rear washer nozzle and plugged the tube with a small piece of dowel rod to end the drip for now......not something you'd expect to have to do on a $50K+ new vehicle with only 200 miles on it, but I do understand things happen so I'm sure it will be resolved at some point.

Mine does this as well. Leaves such a large streak down the glass that it takes elbow grease to clean it off. Will be addressing it with the dealership on my first oil change visit.

Mine finally quit dripping after I squeezed the tube that goes into the nozzle but have not used it since it quit dripping and don’t plan on it and hopefully FCA has a permanent fix.
