Guys, here's my fix: bought a copper heatsink shims on Amazon. soldered the button on the thickest heatsink in the kit, then glued the heatsink to the window. My theory is that there is too much mechanical tension on such a small area. you can use as much solder on the button without being scared of exploding your window, and the heat sink offers way much surface to glue the contraption to the window. Been installed for 6 months now, and it is working fine.
