I've had my JL for over 3 1/2 years, and 24,000 miles. It is a rattling, and squeaking beast. I Just turn the radio up.
It's a Jeep Thing!!!!! Grrrrrr!!!!

Hi newb here with a question on possible rear suspension squeaking. Bought my 2021 JLU Willys a month ago with 446 miles on it. It now has 1600 miles and some new noises. Took my Jeep into the dealer yesterday for a rear suspension squeak while going over bumps, collapsed culverts, frost heaves, pot holes, etc. They couldn’t find the source but did hear it. Has anyone experienced this? They tightened everything up and test drove it 3 times. No heavy squeaking until I went over collapsed culverts and frost heaves on my way home. I live in Vermont and roads are not in great condition. Thanks!

2022 Sport with 9k miles. This is the squeak I am dealing with. It comes and goes. Dealership replaced rear brake pads and clips thinking it would solve the problem. Back at dealership today and they are trying duplicate the sound. Of course it's not doing now that it's at the dealer. Luckily I was able to make this video showing just how obnoxious the sound is. I am physically moving the jeep back and forth while videoing. Deaker said.. "oh its a Jeep, they make noises". No new Jeep i have ever had makes this noise. Anyone have any ideas?

I had a similar noise. It turned out to be the scrubbers on my shocks. Try spraying the shocks with a good teflon spray the wipe off the excess. Mine are worse in the winter when the scrubber is harder from the cold.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with shock scrubbers. Can you advise?

It’s the black thing at the bottom of the shock body. They are super tight against the shaft.

I am hoping someone else has ideas on this as well. Mine is doing the same thing. Squeeks and located that issued to be the rear passenger seat. Slammed it. Fixed it for a minute. Then came back.
But also, have popping when I leave from a stop that was so freaking annoying. Here is the catch through.
I put the rear passenger seat forward or down and all of it stopped. Literally. Now I don't know where to look to fix this so I can put the seat back up. This is insane. Right now, the Jeep is quiet with the seat down.
Can someone help with this rear seat issue? Is there something below that would be stressed with taking off from a stop?

Can you share what brand Teflon spray you used please.
I think my issue is same as yours.
I spit on the shock piston just under the shock and it quieted down.
Having said that, I didn't think chemicals were supposed to be applied to the shock pistons.
Can anyone confirm?
