I know this is a super old thread but just thought I'd chime in that I had a rattle/squeak and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Got rid of some of it by tightening all of the screws holding the plastic trim pieces to the roll bar but there was still some left. After stumbling across this thread I checked by the end of the roll bar on the subwoofer side and did see that the two pieces of plastic were touching rather than having a couple mm of space like on the driver side. Cut a strip of the plastic off with a box cutter and the rattle is completely gone now.
