Hey all

Sorry if this has been answered, couldn't find it.

Wanting to change differential fluid in both the front and rear axles.

How do I know which I have? It's a Willys with I thought has the Dana 30 up front and the Dana 44 in the rear with limited slip.

But there are multiple listings with different fluid called out.

Thanks

You can get a copy of the Moroney (window sticker) and a build sheet in regard to your JL. You will need the VIN# of your JL.

As for diff fluids you'd use and lots of pertinent info in regard to the diff fluid change, read through this whole thread.... Read through the whole thread as fluid recommendations changed as time went on... and with more info from Dana.

So, I have my window sticker. But the link posted doesn't work. It states signal lost, check back later?

Site must be temporarily down.

Read at diff thread. You use same fluid regardless of which Dana you have. Buy fluid that has additive. If your JL requires additive your good to go. If your JL does not require additive, no harm if the fluid you use has additive.

Thanks for the replies. I think I have it sorted.

This may not be the right place for this question, but I also want to torque check everything on the chassis. The specs. Should be in the manual.

But being a jeep newb I don't know what parts are what under there. I remember seeing on here someone posted a pick of the suspension parts labeled so you knew what everything was.

Anybody know where that pic. Is on here. If not I guess I will do some Google searches.

Thanks again.

You guys are awesome. Thank you so much. It's my first time getting under there and torque checking everything.

I will save the info. For next time also.

Thanks again
