The next time that beep happens, look at your 8.4 radio screen and you will see a little notice in red with a little red flag at the top of the screen, that says favorite song playing or something like that.

Click on that red notice and you get taken to another screen.... there, select your favorite, and that song will start playing.

You will hear that little beep every time a song comes up that you have at some point in time ear marked as a favorite.

Forgot to mention.... in 8.4 setting somewhere, you are given the option of deleting individual favorite songs/atrists.... just in case they are not your favorite anymore.

Also, I believe there is a cap on how many favorites you can have so occasionally you will want to prune some away so to speak.

Also sports alerts set in Sirius XM make beeps too, in case you’ve set favorite teams, sports, etc.

@Chocolate Thunder; I have the 7” radio, so it may not be exactly the same, but maybe it’ll be similar. When in the satellite radio screen, hit browse, then scroll on the left side, hit favorites, and then at the top of the list you’ll have options including alert settings and remove favorites. I believe both of those may be useful to you. Good luck!

@Rhinebeck01; not sure if the 8.4” is different from the 7”, but the 7” is capped at 50 favorites items.

@American Adventurist; I personally like the favorites cause it lets you know when your favorite song/artist is on another satellite station...but to each his own.

Has anyone noticed their Favorite Alert (I have the 8.4" radio) acting up lately? Mine keeps altering, but when I hit the favorites icon it says something like "No favorites currently playing." It must have happened 10 times during my drive today. I am loathe to reset my personal settings, as (a) that has never helped solve a problem when I have tried, and (b) I don't want to have to wait months to rebuild my favorite list for the 5th time!

Anyone notice similar behavior, and if so have a fix? I would say I may need a software update, but it is odd the problem is fairly recent and not from when I first got my Jeep. Thanks in advance for any tips!

I accidentally tagged a favorite artist (errant touch on the screen). I couldn’t figure out how to “unfavorite” The Eagles. Help?

Also I believe that my beeps happened before this so I don’t know that it would be the cause. Mine sounded a little like the BSM audible warning, but only a single beep and not as loud. Also not while there was a vehicle in the blind spot and I didn’t have on the indicator.
