Just had the same problem... everything off Jeep powered down, engine off, doors closed, locked and alarm set but the radio is still blaring. Couldn’t get the damn thing off. Power button just blacked screen, volume control wouldn’t adjust volume.... none of the reset procedures worked.... finally I just recycled the ignition a couple of times and thankfully it did shut off. Hopefully it is just a glitch as I will be driving it again today and this weekend. Ugh.

Mine is doing the same thing right now. Still playing the radio station, but the time is not updating, none of the buttons will work, the touch screen doesn’t work. Cycled the Jeep off and on a few times, still on. Going to give it about 15 or 20 minutes and go check. If it’s still on, I’m gonna pull the battery cable.

Hello Mom2SNSH,

If you end up going into the dealer to get this inspected, let us know. Our team is available via DM and would be happy to help with the servicing process.

I am new to this forum as I was googling the same problem for my daughter’s Jeep. I bought her a 2018 Jeep Renegade a month ago, and today she has this exact problem. The radio screen doesn’t turn off. It’s now 9:49 pm so I guess we will be calling the dealer tomorrow to see how can they resolve this. I read some of the comments but don’t feel comfortable doing anything to a Jeep that’s only a month old, I rather have the dealer resolving the situation.

Mine did this last night, stayed on and would not turn off until I pulled the fuse.

It stayed on the camera all the way home.

Which fuse? I can’t find F11
If you cycle the power a few times but turning on the key, starting, stopping etc.. make sure your phone isn't connected via bluetooth. That seemed to help until I had mine replaced

Has anyone found a definitive answer for this? I’ve been struggling with the same issue where my radio won’t turn off, and I’ve taken it into the dealer 3 times now. They’ve replaced my aux battery twice and my entire radio, and it’s still happening. I’m now jumping my car 3-4 times a week. If I let it sit more than 12 hours, the aux battery drains and I can’t start the car. This is a big issue!!

This certainly sounds frustrating! When was the last time you were at the dealer for this? Send us more details in a private message so we can assist.

Update: they finally found an issue in the fuse box for a bad fuse that was no longer sitting properly (think the connection broke?). They replaced the whole fuse box, and so far, a week in, the problem seems to be solved.

I had this happen the other day. I was using my phone for a video call and it frozen durning the call. I was able to get back in the call but when I was done, I shut the jeep off to go back to work and it wouldn’t go off. Screen said can’t power off since it’s still in a call. I had to reconnect the phone and hit disconnect. It wouldn’t shut off until I did that though. I was able to get it to shut down finally but I think my phone froze it and the jeep thought my phone was still in a call.

Not sure if this is what happened to yours.

Wife just called

Just had a issue come up. Turned off the Jeep JLU and the radio will not power off it says "Cannot power off during call" She is not on a call and there are no phones connected via bluetooth or Via Cable. She deleted all profiles for phones in settings and still has the same message. She tried a hard system reset both ways via steering wheel holding down green and voice buttons for 30 seconds open close door and also trying the hot and cold thermostat "engineering mode" When in engineering mode It does not show "system reset" as a option on the screen and cannot scroll to see other options. there are no arrows to scroll with on far right.

Radio has been on for over a hour after exiting the vehicle. Any suggestions?

Have already sent a tweet to @JeepCares and Uconnect

John
Just had the same exact issue on my week old 2022 wrangler but by the time i went inside the house to research the issue and came back it turned off by itself. This is my first jeep after owning various japanese brands for over 20 years and never having an issue like this. I’m already regretting my decision

grateful for this forum. We ran into this issue yesterday. Opened her up. Took off the lid for the fuse box and under the lid it showed what every single fuse was for. Pulled the one for the radio, put It back in, problem solved. Hopefully it won’t happen again.

"...the quality goes in, before the name goes on" ?

I like the utility and abilities of my JLUR, but far and away, the single most frustrating thing about owning my JLUR has been the poor quality.
