I've had ESS warning in our 2020 for almost a year (service ESS warning) and didn't put effort into it beyond doing the aux delete (remove the fuse and the aux neg terminal from main batt )also about a year ago hat was an attempt to "fix it". The service ESS had remained and wasn't working all year. On a whim today I pulled the negative cable to the main battery for a minute and cleaned it all up (there was some corrosion), and ESS works as normal now. I have three lingering issues but I think number 3 is common/expected:

1.) Radio reset to factory it seems (lost some things but not others), theme got reset for example, but it still knows my phone. Weirdly though radio is displaying HVAC/outside temp in Celcius not Farenheight. For the life of me I can't find where this is set, the Jeeps dash center console is in english units still (speed/odo. temp, etc), only the radio. This was originally a Canadian Jeep, so not surprised maybe on the metric but want US standards back.
2.) I also notice the radio (speakers) make a 1 second static noise on ESS startup, not all the time but a lot of the time.
3.) Backup camera doesn't come up in reverse and many apps seem missing (offroading for example), think I've read this many times in this forum and they simply start working again within a day or two?

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for regarding temp settings

Yeah found this in my owners manual, the Units setting isn't there in my Settings in the radio, all the other ones are (Languge, Display etc).

You may be due for a new battery. Occasional low voltage seem to responsible for electrical gremlins.

None... but it pays well.
I thought you can't get a state vehical inspection with non US cars that don't comply with US standards. Also the same with Canada. Too much trouble, else I could have gotten good deals with jeeps in NJ and NY.

After a couple hours went to check on the Jeep and all the apps are back and my units are back to US measurements. Haven't driven it, will check later today, but I'm willing to bet the backup camera is back to. From poking around forums I guess the uConnect takes time to relearn your Jeep when it loses power. Now hopefully the 1 second static sound in the speakers is gone as well. From looking aorund some suggested resetting/rebooting the radio (hold power/volume and tuning/skeep button in for 10 seconds). I'll give that a shot, anyone knows if this kicks off another required discovery for the radio losing all those features again?

Canadian Jeeps comply to US standards, the big risk is most cars sold in Canada will not have warranty in US. There is one random exception, if the car was original sold as a rental fleet in Canada and used for a year, it's warranty can be transferred/converted to a US one. My Jeep originally had a CanAM warranty (sticker), the first time I got warranty work done the dealer had to do a one time transfer to convert it to full US warranty.
