Hi everyone. First post here.

Got into my 2020 wrangler yesterday and the radio was not working correctly. The am/fm/sxm was not working at all. Pressing the buttons did nothing. In fact it looked like everything was reset but the buttons were greyed out. CarPlay worked fine. And only the two speakers on the front dash worked.
Fast forward a few hours. Got back in the radio was working absolutely fine.
Also, I’ve noticed on the screen that it shows static for a quick second.
My dealership ignores me as I bought it two months ago. Not even sure if I can make them do anything for me.
Do I need a new radio or is there a way to reset it? I’ve tried many different ways and nothing works. Even disconnected the battery.
Thanks!

Chances are your auxiliary battery needs to be replaced.

I had all sorts of weird issues when my batteries were dying. Including losing and regaining all audio (radio, navigation, Bluetooth), losing and regaining backup camera, losing and regaining backup lines; popping speakers, etc.

Check your auxiliary battery voltage. If low, replace BOTH batteries with an aftermarket brand. Once the auxiliary battery goes, it starts to drain and damage the main battery.

Buying store brand batteries from Auto Zone or O’Reilly Auto Parts will do the trick. Do not waste your time with the dealer on battery issues; they are useless. Do not waste your money on Mopar batteries; they are trash.

Good luck.
