@Sgt_Slacker

Some with the 7" have reported this in the past and no resolution of the issue was ever posted.

Do in radio settings turn off the option that has sound adjust upward with speed of vehicle...

Also.... when the issue occurs..... try changing modes from FM to AM...... Supposedly this will correct the issue for the instance / when the issue occurs..

So I don’t use the actual radio I pretty much only use apple car play. And I don’t think it’s the speed comp because I actually see the volume numbers increase or decrease

Jeff: somewhat tangential to your problem, please be advised that the JL can have more than one volume setting, e.g. Siri, Radio, etc.

When it happens all I have to do is touch the volume adjust and it stops. Its just weird doesn't happen all the time.

2022 JLURD with 8.4" Uconnect here.

I've been plagued with this issue ever since I took delivery. No matter what phone I used, or whether I was using CarPlay or Bluetooth, the audio levels would randomly drop for absolutely no reason. It drove me crazy at times because it would happen seemingly every 5 seconds. Other times, maybe once every 30min, sometimes not at all. Very inconsistent, random and sporadic.

I went through both the Uconnect settings & phone settings, separately eliminating possibilities one by one to no avail.

It wasn't until I saw your reply to this post, that I finally just went into the Uconnect radio (which I never use), and switched the FM & AM back and forth a couple times (also turned off HD for both).... that resolved the issue, for now anyway. Hopefully that fixed it forever.

I know I'm resurrecting a thread here, but this is the only post I've seen that suggested a solution which oddly enough actually works. Thank you!!

Yep. Still dealing with the issue.

The switching AM/FM only works temporarily, only for that engine start cycle it seems.

I think it’s a tazer glitch. Crazy it has been happening for so long and they haven’t fixed it.
