I usually ignore the women drivers as well. I have found 90% of them don't wave so if i notice its a girl i don't bother.

I'm a Jeep owner in the SF Bay Area and I always wave, but it's rare that they wave back. Maybe 1 in 20 will wave back, the others either didn't notice or give me the, I don't know you look. There are a lot of Jeeps out here, but most are just mall crawlers. The drivers are either too wrapped up in their phone or are oblivious to the culture. It doesn't stop me from waving and when they wave back, it makes it worth it.
I'm in Connecticut. I would say 2 out of every 3 I wave at wave back. JL, JK, TJ, XJ, most wave. They say CT is a cold state. I think it's pretty friendly as Jeeps go.

Just curious about this - As I counted approx. 23 Jeeps on the way home from work yesterday, all of which waved but 1 - So im curious why do you choose not to wave??? And I swear NC is Jeep country I cant believe how many jeeps there are running around here!
I almost always wave no matter what, when I don't I'm not paying attention and that's what I say when some don't wave to me. It does seem that some that don't wave just happen to be driving a jeep it's not a lifestyle, it's a means of transportation and so they don't wave.

I wave when I can and sometimes I just forget to.

One time I waved to a lady in a white wrangler and she grilled me lol

I've been riding a motorcycle for a few years now and I am used to waving at other bikes. Even though I ride a supersport bike I still wave to Harleys. I would say 95% of bikes wave back.

When I got my Wrangler I started waving to all Wranglers. My head always turns when I see a Wrangler so I always wave. I swear, about 10% of people wave to me. I think it is because most of the Wranglers I see are driven by 40+ year old women who aren't like "enthusiasts" and they probably don't care or know about the wave. Typically the ones I see with a lift and tires wave back and since I almost always have the top and doors off if I see another with the top and doors off they always wave.

I know some people don't care about waving, but I figure might as well.

I've got both hands on the wheel, white knuckled trying to drive in a straight line. I'm only slightly joking...the steering slop is pretty bad.

I wave when I notice another Wrangler but sometimes I am zoned and oblivious to my surroundings....So if your driving on 611 in Doylestown/Warminster/Warrington area and see a 2018 black Sahara with Eagles stickers on the rear and I don't wave please accept my apologies.

The people who don't wave, I'm guessing, is directly related to who bought the Jeep for them. If it was mommy, daddy or husband, no wave.

I'm not sure why, but I wave at Jeeps when not driving my Jeep.

I have waved to thousands of jeeps that haven't noticed, and that is perfectly fine. What irks me is when someone stares directly at me and ignores it.
hahaha! that would be ME! i've owned many jeeps in my 40+ years and the thing that i've always hated the most about jeeps wasn't death wobble or leaky seals or square headlights, it's ALWAYS been the jeep wave. ALWAYS. maybe i'm antisocial or just not very nice, but i HATE IT!

Did you wave at all the other Jeeps?!
The Patriot? The Renegade? The Commander? The Cherokee? The Grand Cherokee?
How about waving at everyone and smiling and giving a thumbs up and following them to their stop so you can jump out and hug each other to embrace Brand Loyalty.....

Hey y'all. I just bought a new '19 JLU Rubicon. It's Jeep #4 (92 YJ, 01 TJ & 08 JK) for me. I haven't had Jeep since 2013 when I had to part ways with my '08 when I moved to Germany for my military service. Where did the wave go? I'm maybe 3 for 40 on the wave backs. I can tell you the 3 Jeeps that I got wave backs or beat me to initiating the wave. Yellow '06 lifted Rubi, Silver '10 Lifted and a last minute as we were passing from a White JL. This is a part of Jeep culture that needs to continue. I wish Jeep would add it to their ad campaign to at least educate new Jeep owners that are not as passionate as the folks I see on this forum.
