Hello guys and gals,
I bought my '19 sport 2 door in may. It had 13 miles on the odometer.
There are 2 knobs to the right of the headlight switch mounted vertically.
The farthest right knob dims the instrument cluster, hvac control buttons, touchscreen, etc. and works like it's supposed to.
The knob on the left closest to the headlight switch doesn't do anything and hasn't done anything since day 1 with me. I have played with it using all kinds of different combinations of: key on, engine off, key on, engine on, headlight switch off, headlight switch auto, doors open, doors closed, dome lights on, dome lights off.

Am I missing something or doing something wrong?
The owners manual was no help.

Thank you in advance!

That is the control for the “ambient lighting” I.e. the lights in the door handle. If you weren’t so cheap and bought a Sahara or Rubicon it would control the lights in the footwell and the cup holders too.:CWL:

Just kidding, that is one of the features of a “Premium “ model, us lowly Sport Owners only get the door handle dimmer!

Gregj

Edit: if you roll it up and down when it’s very dark out you will see the door handle illumination change ever so slightly!

Thanks for the info fellas.
I didn't know my jeep has door handle illumination. Lol!

Rufus,
You posted a photo of page 67 in the manual. My page 67 is totally different.

What you've displayed is the user guide. @Rufus is showing the 600+ page owner's manual. Your Jeep didn't come with it; reach out to @JeepCares & they'll send you one. It won't cost you anything but a few keystrokes.

Also, it’s available from the website.

Ahh, thank you for clarifying why my manual is different, Melendez.
By the way, your signature sounds a lot like a Metallica lyric, is it?

Rufus,
Thank you for your help, I'll go to the website to download a copy.

It most certainly is... Wherever I May Roam. I see you have good taste.

I like online manuals, but I also like to keep the manual in the rig. I'm of The Paper Era.
