I’ve been on the hunt for a decent cargo liner for my ‘25 JLU, but I am unfortunately kind of picky. I originally had my eye on the Mopar mat until I realized it only covered the area between the cargo tie-downs. I have been thinking about the Armorlite cargo mat because it covers more area, and should I decide to do more Armorlite in the future, it will match.

Is the texture of this Armorlite mat like a non-slip rubbery type of situation, or more firm and plastic-like similar to a LineX truck bed liner?

I recently installed the complete Armorlite kit in my Jeep. The texture is definitely a rubbery non slip as opposed to a bed liner like texture. Here’s a photo of the cargo liner.

Oh very nice. I like that. I appreciate the info. Was the whole setup relatively easy to install? I’ve heard some claim you don’t have to remove everything, and some claim it’s better to just take everything out.

I thought it was easy. Took me about 4 hours taking my time to be careful not to break anything. I unbolted the seats but did not remove them from the Jeep.

I'm not really a fan of their floor mat and I really wish Armorlite or someone else would offer a non-carpeted cargo cover.
Armorlite's floor mat sticks up too high and catches on the door and doesn't fit with most tailgate tables, it also doesn't cover all the carpet.

I really Armorlite would put in the effort to make a rigid, non-carpeted cargo cover to go with their kit. The rest of the kit looks and works awesome.

If anyone can point me towards an a better cargo cover, I'm all ears!

I agree that the rear liner leaves a little to be desired. I have an American Adventure Labs Versa Table and don’t have any problems with the mat interfering with the table.

It looks like you have a custom plate under the mat. Maybe that's what's causing your issues?

Agree also and think that the rear mat is a poorly thought out afterthought on the part of armorlite

I put my weathertech mat back in after I put the armorlite kit in the jeep

OP
You can have my armorlite rear Mat for just the cost of shipping if you want it

It’s more firm and plastic like, closer to a bed liner than a soft rubber mat. It has some texture for grip, but items can still slide if they’re not secured. It’s durable and easy to clean, but if you want true non slip, a rubber style mat works better.

Oh no kidding? I appreciate the offer, but after reading some of these personal testimonies, I may have to do a little more research. It’s a shame because it really is a good looking cargo mat, as silly as that sounds lol.

Getting into the cubby is what gives most liners a problem. There is a compromise to all of the rear mats. I have the armorlite but if doing it again I would go with the rugged ridge. Had it in my jk and lime the side raised lip feature to keep anything spilled in.

I went weathertech. Great coverage. Not super rubbery as it is a harder material but it's not slick either. I like that it contains liquids which has been helpful when things spilled

I installed the full armorlite package. I absolutely love the flooring and its been great for us compared to the OEM carpet. Dog hair, mud, sand.....so much easier to clean up. I also think it adds a touch of insulation properties over the OEM carpet. I will mirror what the other reviewers have said in that the rear cargo mat could have been thought out a little better and should include something for the back of the seats. Why on earth would jeep stick velcro like carpet on the back of leather seats?. However; the armorlite mat is way better than the factory mat and having carpet under the mat. I also don't care for the drop in trays like weather tech because they just trap dirt and what not between the carpet and liner. Also if you run with both the back seats in the down position a lot like i do the trays won't stay in place well. The armorlite fits tight enough to the jeep wheel wells it doens't do that much, but its a little cumbersome at times with the tailgate and I could see it getting in the way of a tailgate table. However; I've yet to find anything "better". Maybe its out there but I havn't seen it. I have intentions on making a new lid for the storage compartment under the rear mat but havn't gotten around too it yet.

I have the full Armorlite kit in my Jeep, but kept the Weathertech for the rear since I already had it.

I also like the Weathertech mat for the back - it's custom fit, so it covers edge to edge, and it has a lip all the way around, so it contains things better.

I don't have issues with the rear tailgate, but I can see how others would. It's less the fault of these floormat manufacturers and more the fault of Jeep. Specifically, their decision to carpet the rear cargo cover. If it sticks up even just a quarter of an inch, the door won't close, because the bottom of the door technically covers the edge of this panel, so you can't open it with the tailgate closed. Probably intended to be a security measure but in practice it's just annoying.
