The other day I noticed the Purge Control Valve was pulsing/clicking. The engine was hot and had been running for a while. I was parked with the hood up and engine was idling. When I touched the Valve assembly, I could feel the clicking in my hand. Can’t hear the clicking with the hood closed. From what I have been able to read on-line, this is normal operation.

Can anyone confirm this is normal? Here is the part in question:

Yup, normal, its a PWM solenoid valve, cycled as necessary to maintain fuel tank vacuum.
