Hi all, I came across this YouTube video that another JL owner experienced. This is the exact same noise I hear sometimes and sometimes for longer and with higher frequency. Has anyone been able to diagnose this ? Thanks in advance !

I can't hear the noise but there's a TSB out there for clicking noises that are caused by improperly torqued ball joints. The TSB is for 2021 models but it's worth a shot.

If you watch the video and raise the volume, you can hear it at 8 seconds. In this example it went silent rather quickly. Sometimes that sound can sustain many seconds and it feels like there's something wrong.

I read the details of the link you shared. I'd say that's not it based on the second condition it mentions "a sticking feeling through steering wheel".

Any chance you have a gopro? Ive used mine before to help narrow down where a sound is coming from by clamping it under the Jeep in different locations.

Mine and my wife's both do this. I think others have said in the past that it could be detonation. Some have said a catch can helps, others have said use higher than 87 octane fuel since it is a high compression engine. I can say using 89 has helped ours but when using 89 they seem to idle a bit rougher which I found odd.

I've just developed this exact noise and it came in aggressively. I relocated from Texas to Denver, Colorado on a 4 day road trip. Passing through New Mexico I noticed a noise. After settling in and cruising around Denver I noticed something much louder and repetitive. Listen to the videos. Anyone know what might be going on here?

I've been able to replicate the issue by having my gf put it in Drive, engage the parking break, and step on the pedal to hit around 1500RPM. A loud knock results with the hood open but driving around it sounds like metal clanking. At idle and parked I can rev the engine with no knock at all. Also the engine is silent with no ticking noise like most videos I've seen. This Jeep is at around 100k miles now.

There are no CELs but noticed a slight loss in power where in Texas I was able to catchup with traffic on an 85mph highway easily. In Denver It seems to take longer and is in a higher gear at around 4th or 5th before hitting 50mph and slowly accelerates to 65mph.
