Hey All,

First time Jeep owner, but I haven't seen this before. Has anyone else received a mailer from the PSCC (Public Safety Crime Center) saying that your complementary anti-theft pre-programmed wireless tracking is expiring and they will be waiving the $388 fee if you register before the expiration date? It seems a little sus and there is only a phone number on the mailer to call.

A notice telling me that the cops and the government won't be able to track my location would be a reason not to buy this thing

I wouldnt even respond, this is a third party milking scheme akin to a scam.

All businesses have some level of selling your info and this is what you get. In Microprint somewhere on that letter you will find "This is an advertisement for Anti-theft Deterrent" and letting you know they are NOT affliated with any dealership.

Always notice the way the information is presented to you.

Police and Law Enforcement Agencies and
"AT RISK" are bolded

REQUIRED is bolded and underlined.

These are words that elicit an emotional response or sense of urgency to react.

Outside of certified mail you are usually safe to rip and toss.

If you get something that looks official from someone you have dealings with like Wells Fargo etc. Call the number on the back of you card, and let memeber services know you received a mailer and want to know if there is an issue, they can safely tell you or direct you to the correct department.

With AI and time the scammers are getting smarter and more "real" looking. Always be on guard.

It says 'OFFICIAL BUSINESS' on the envelope. What more do you want?

I got one today too... looks very official! But the sneaky little b@stards hide the advertising disclaimer behind the letter under the flap! Take a look...
