I'm not familiar with the e-torque system. Does it shut the engine off when in the hybrid mode? If so, you won't have the hydraulic pump running on a PSC (engine driven pump) system.

The crank still turns in etorque mode

I'm thinking it would work, but would require some additional finagling to get a belt driven steering pump onto a etorque.

Are you looking to add the boost cylinders on the tierod?

Has anyone figured out a hydro assist that will work with the e-torque yet? I didn't realize the issues with putting hydro assist on this engine before I bought it and pretty deep into my build needing a solution for it now.

Did you go Redneck RAM for this? I see PSC still dont do anything for the etorque..

Interesting..

Looks like an Apex boost and cooler with steel box..

Same as you can do with Apex and Redneck for less than half the price. Or am I missing something?

But, good find either way as it shows the path forward.

I have had pretty good luck with tapping the factory steering gearbox and just adding a PSE ram to the axle.

The only downside is that pulling into a parking lot into a tight parking spot the steering can be a little bit slow. But I’m pretty sure this is kind of common to all Hydro assist.

I had a local shop drill and tap my box. The only other additional cost you have is the ram and the hoses.
I am using the factory electric power steering pump.

oh, one more thing you will need. I used a small transmission oil cooler to keep the temps down on the power steering fluid. I have had no issues.
