Proper rear diff bolt torque spec?

From the torque spec thread on the site~Differential Cover Bolts | First Pass - 16 Nm, Second Pass - 41 Nm | First Pass - 12 ft. lbs, Second Pass - 30 ft. lbs. | - | Do not reuse these fasteners. If removed, a NEW fastener must be installed and tightened to specifications.
FWIW I've reused the fasteners, but that's me YMMV

Same...until I installed my Motobilt covers and Next Venture skids. I replaced all bolts at that point, but the OEM covers had been off 10+ times before that and I re-used the OEM bolts with no issues.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention @chicknwaffles I also have F&R Rough Country differential skid plates, and followed that torque sequence I posted above a couple years ago when I installed them, all good!

anyone know how long the thread channel is on a diff?

naturally got screws slightly longer from home depot and don't want to bottom out.

looks like this little project might be delayed

edited: rough country is going to overnight the hardware. might as well wait, no big deal. If I do a job I want it done correctly

Put their front and rear diff skid plates on.

While this was indeed the cheapest option (probably) out there. These things are solid as hell and I see no reason to spend more to get this done.

oh yeah, I did use a torque wrench. Put the front to 25ft lbs with blue locktite.

They really are a great "bang for your buck" part. I've smacked mine pretty good, especially the front one and solid as a boat anchor. I am surprised they both cost the same since the rear one is about 40% more metal.
