It does not seem to be correlating strongly to the magnetic mount. The performance in my testing today was worse than the previous tests, and the direction of travel is staying wrong. More consistently in both the magnetic and non-magnetic mounts.
Ok, one more question and apologies if I missed it. Wireless CarPlay, or with the phone plugged into the usb port of the media hub?

Not sure if it matters, but I'm plugged into the port under the center armrest, not to the media hub on the center stack. I doubt there's a difference there, but haven't tested it. Running next to my seat and into the cubby, staying out of view.

It's hard to fathom that it'd make a difference, but the armrest port is known to be questionable. Pretty sure there was a TSB about it.

It's easy enough to test, will try and report back. I also realized that I haven't tested while not plugged into the Jeep.

I’m using OnX on iPhone (alternating between two different iPhones) and two different Bulletpoint magnetic mounts. When using OnX the phone is connected directly to the usb port of the media hub on the dash and I don’t have any issues you’re describing. Just to give you some data points that might narrow down your problem.

I have a work iPhone I could test also, good thought.

As an update, OnX reached out again via email and let me know they're still working the problem and hope to have an update out this week. I have not had more time to test the iPhone and other connection points yet.

That said, I'm pretty happy with their support team so far. They've been great to work with and easy to communicate with, so kudos on that. I'll report back with progress and once I've tested some other things.

I've been using onX for a few years now and have seen this issue numerous times. I wrote it off as an issue with the app...we always use it through Android auto using the dash USB.

Would be great to see it addressed.

IME Android phones usually have more weird problems than Iphones, but neither is perfect. I've always connected with the media port in the middle lower dash area, never use bluetooth or wifi unless they are only options as they are slower and less reliable connections.

Also, have you tried a different cable that is known good?

Mine does the same. I attributed it to the app itself. I can never get it to point driving position up.

To follow up on this, the latest software update 26.12.0 (1064) seems to have corrected the issue. I spent part of Friday at AOAA and it navigated the trails properly. It still gets a little confused when stopped, but overall is MUCH better than it was before. I'm very glad too because all the trails within AOAA would have gotten very confusing without it.

I will say, I did use the dash plug instead of the console plug, so need to re-test that it works in the console which is where I prefer to have the phone plugged to keep wires more tidy/out of the way.

I hope so!
