How much under invoice?Canceled the deal. Starting over.
this is why I walked trying to get a 24 XR, sales manager refused to honor the posted sale price on their website. Which is a fraud. I "built" an xr off what they had.I am preparing to order a Rubicon to lease. The dealership informed me that the price I’m being quoted will change based on the current month’s promotions at the time of delivery. This makes me nervous. Could I be told it’s gonna cost 750 a month now but then suddenly it’s 950 a month 2 months later when it’s delivered? Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks!
I'd bet that the massive down payment wasn't refundable either. To be honest, I don’t remember. I got rid of the paperwork. What I DO remember is they wanted $6700 at the time of signing and $829 a month for the lease. Starting my search over.
I had only made a deposit to build at this point. That was gonna be due at signing and they weren’t very transparent about it. Got my deposit back and walked away. I don’t see any dealers near me on the spreadsheet.I'd bet that the massive down payment wasn't refundable either.
Hopefully you'll have better luck next time. Many people have used the offers in my spreadsheet to get local dealerships to match or come close to matching. That should be much easier now that the prices have tanked.
Many people shop outside their local area for the best price. A simple plane ticket and a drive home could save a lot of headaches.I had only made a deposit to build at this point. My initial goal when putting the spreadsheet together was to find one near me too, but I realized that a plane ticket wasn't very expensive and the road trip turned out to be pretty awesome.I had only made a deposit to build at this point. When I asked, my selling dealer replied that I was protected against any price increases that might occur between the order and delivery dates of my new JLU. A modest increase did in fact occur, but I wasn't liable for it.I am preparing to order a Rubicon to lease. Is this what leases are going for these days, this seems obscene for a vehicle you will turn in after 3-4 years. To be honest, I don’t remember. I got rid of the paperwork. What I DO remember is they wanted $6700 at the time of signing and $829 a month for the lease. Starting my search over.
Prices going down ,etc.. I don’t see yr price going up if anything it should be lowerI am preparing to order a Rubicon to lease. I'm pretty sure this is more about the current incentives going away than the price increasing. When I asked, my selling dealer replied that I was protected against any price increases that might occur between the order and delivery dates of my new JLU. To judge from related posts and threads on the subject, price protection policies are at the discretion of the individual dealer.
Continue with your due diligence here, as you're doing, and ask for any price protection to be put in writing. If your dealer doesn't offer it, then you have a decision to make.
If the vehicle's selling price is locked, as you mentioned in a subsequent post, that might be the limit of what you can reasonably expect here.
It is, but that only became clear in the OP's subsequent posts.I'm pretty sure this is more about the current incentives going away than the price increasing.
