Partly because water has gotten inside during heavy rains there...
Yikes. I only have 300 miles on mine, and have yet to see rain. I suddenly care about this...
I drove to work (30 miles) in a heavy downpour, this morning. No water ingress. I'm back to, "who cares?"

Obviously not you so feel free to go troll another post :) I also have 14k miles on my JL so just give it some time and we will see if that position changes...

Not trolling, and you may be right... I just wanted to add a data point that mine is (so far) not letting in water, so Iā€™m off to worry about something else, for now. Even so, Iā€™m following this thread in case someone comes up with a solution to the ā€œpopping out.ā€

My passenger side flap would not stay attached. My tailgate bar would snap in on the driver side but was very sloppy on the passenger side. Went in today for 5k service oil and tire rotation along with the cruise control reflash. Pointed out to the service adviser my white grill that is turning yellow and the above items. Had a good conversation with Brandon (Jeep Informant YouTube). Service completed with dealer ordering a new grill, new back window, new tailgate bar and the piece the tailgate bar snaps into. Consensus was the back window was not tight but fit sloppy. Thumbs up to these guys.

Same issue...just push the tabs in when I park. My big issue is my top windows have drip stains and the dealer said they would replace them but haven't got any details yet. Other than that my customer service has been outstanding

Hello,
We would like to offer our assistance in both of these situations. Please send us a private message with additional details, so we can get you in contact with the appropriate teams while you are working with your dealers.

The pillar on my driver side pops off on mine. Itā€™s secure until I try to secure the plastic clip on the door surround. Itā€™s like the window piece is not long enough.

Not sure if this is related to the flap
But my soft top is ungodly loud on the highway when I roll down the drivers window even a alittle
Anyone else?

OP mine is the same too!!! Though passenger's side. I thought I had missed something during my install. Glad to know it wasn't user error lol. I'm in AZ so we don't get that many rainy days per se. Definitely following in case @JeepCares decides to make things right for us dual toppers.

Yep same for me. I have premium top and both rear window bottom tabs have popped out since day 1. And also have the vertical drip stains on all 3 vinyl windows since I drove it home, which I figured was just dirty from sitting on lot. Finally had it looked at by dealer last week who took pictures and reported it to FCA (bought April 31). Now just waiting

I took my new JL on a two month trip to NC. It rained damn near every day. The rear window flaps never stayed secure but worse than that is the top interferes with the rain gutters! Water pours off the soft top and right into the jeep floor through every door when you open them to get in or out. I mean pours in!

Anybody else rain tested yet?

ha - just happened to me literally 5 minutes ago! Started pouring here in Phoenix (rare, I know) and when I opened the door to get out, ALL THE F@$%#$^ING water got into the JL.

I suspect every JL will have this problem. If you take too long to get in it fills the mud Matts I spent extra to get. Bad design and manufacturing.

I have the same issue with the pillar on the driver side, although it just started happening yesterday. The pillar on the passenger side seems to fit better - it "clicks" in. I wound up having to really stretch the back panel to make sure it would clip into the driver side and keep the whole thing together.

Anyone else having this problem?

This happens on the passenger rear. I am glad to hear this is a common occurrence.. I had thought I stretched this or installed it wrong when I took the top off. I feel that the plastic lip on both bottom rear windows need to be slightly longer so it stays under the jeep body better. I hope they issue fixes and new window elements.
