Powder Coating Roam side armor steps

Hello! I bought the Roam Side Armor Steps the end of 2018 and they started rusting almost immediately (I noticed it within two months) which is a huge bummer. No one wants rusty steps on their brand new JLU. I do love the general look of them and practicality so I wondered if anyone has had any success with having them media blasted and powder coated? How long did it last? Alternatives？

I had mine sandblasted and powdercoated for $150 a year and a half ago. They are holding up very well...worth it if you like them.
