Welp, I couldn't resist and reached out to JeepChat. I saw a couple of XRs on crypto this morning that were ordered after mine so I was curious.

Bummer, yep. I checked last Wednesday for the first time on this one just because there was a lot of movement on XR’s. D. Wasn’t surprised. Making myself wait until tomorrow to check again.

I think there is a lot of this happening, a bunch of us went D1 last week and many have appeared to fall back to D.

What a bummer! I've reflected some of the D1->D regressions in the spreadsheet. Let me know if I missed any updates. FWIW I'm still stuck in D (ordered 7/23).

From my experience, a build sheet isn't generated until the jeep has finished the build process.

I think build sheet happens when it's ready to enter the build, i.e., parts gathered, build scheduled aka D1. When it finishes building, just prior to shipping, that's when you get the window sticker.

I just checked and I finally have a build sheet available. My dealership had originally told me today was my scheduled "ship date". I'm hoping that means it's built and ready to start making it's way to North Texas. Last conversation with JC was that it was "built and awaiting installation of optional equipment"

I just got off Jeep Chat and they said they no longer can give "status code updates" I need to call my dealer for that from now on. Only that is was in parts gathering status. WTH?!!!!

They haven't given me "codes" but rather "descriptions" during the whole process. Are they just outright refusing to give you information? or they don't refer to it as "D, D1, etc"

JC just informed me I also fell back to D status ?, we’ll txt my salesman to see if it’s the same on there end

Yes - things have changed and they won't tell you the actual letter of the status. What they told you means D status I believe.

I also think this may lead to some of the regression stories (unless the dealer confirms by looking at the POC) - I've had JC tell me one thing that would have meant D1 and then the next day describe it as D. When they double check they can tell you it hasn't moved from D for 2 weeks.

I learned I was in D1 from a JC call on 8/13 and the description was that “all parts have been received and the order is being scheduled for production.” No build sheet when I asked.

Just spoke with my dealer and he said his rep told him the hold up on the 392 XRs are the bronze wheels. I’m 1 of 12 392 XR orders from my dealer.

This has been the case for a long time, years. It's possible it was a training issue that you were getting them accidentally before -- I know it happened a couple of times to me, but that was rare. This going as far back as 2019.
