Question for current extreme recon owners. On my gladiator and current 4XE I have used Rokblokz mud flaps to keep the rock chips at bay. Are those of you with the Xtreme recon currently noticing that the fender flares/extensions are stopping rock chips on the door hinges/doors?
Asking as I am considering adding an Xtreme Recon to the stable, wondering if I will have to get more mudflaps.
Thanks!
Mine was delivered with a rock chip on the rear driver side door hinge. I havent noticed any appear after that, but Ive only driven it 400miles to date. I actually have a set of the rokblokz sitting in my trunk that I havent installed yet

At this point, Stellantis owes you a free 392XR for the mental stress and anguish they have put you through by sending you two 392s with issues. ? I hope they treat you right and get it worked out. I have the exact build as you that is currently on its way to the dealer and I hope it’s not another statistic.
I have been notified that after the Jeep engineers have gone thru every inch of wiring with the service foreman at dealership, replacement of transfer valve body is next step. Part is on back order from European supplier and expected to be available in December…. My brand new 392 XR with 67 miles on it will likely sit in service untouched until then. 11/18/2021 will be exactly 1 year since I placed original 392 order and FCA/Stellantis has still not been able to deliver a drivable 392 to me. Less than 2 weeks out from latest 392 being in service for over 30 days…. ??

IMPORTANT QUESTION TO EVERYONE: If the problem is indeed the transfer valve body, I noticed there are aftermarket performance upgrades for this specific part. If it can cut down on the back order waiting time and Stellantis is willing to install and reimburse, is this a specific part that is worth upgrading?

Well, I picked up my brand new JLUR XR about 4 hours ago. Now I’m waiting on a tow truck 40miles away.

driving down the road and the ‘service electronic stability control’ error comes on. Then check engine. Then it stops accelerating. Pulled off the road turned it off. Turned it on. Same errors and a ‘service electronic throttle control’ error.

while I wait, I’ve check every fuse in the box. Any other suggestions? ?
Hi Anthony, just checking to see if you made any progress on the issue we are sharing with our new XR’s?

I really hope this is something they figure out before I get my 392XR. On week 14 right now still waiting for it to get built. I couldn't imagine being in your position. If this happens when I get mine I would lose my ****. I hope they will do something to make this right for you.

I threw on some XL Rockblokz asap as the extensions DO NOT protect from rocks at all. They’re way too high.
I do like how the Rockblokz sort of line up with those flares though!

This is exactly what I was looking to find out. They do seem to line up with the flares. Thanks for the photos to go along with the info !
