My 6/28 392XR order was sitting at the train yard since 10/15 and was loaded on the train Wednesday (11/3). ETA at my dealer is 11/27. Almost 5 months from when I ordered it on 6/28. I can’t pick it up until 12/3 due to being out of town for the holiday. The next 4 weeks will be a true test in patients!

My dealer hooked me up with a local driver from Kentucky. He came up in a sweet Chevy 3500HD diesel dually with enclosed gooseneck trailer...did a great job. James Napier was his name.
What’s the going rate for something like that set up?

At this point, Stellantis owes you a free 392XR for the mental stress and anguish they have put you through by sending you two 392s with issues. ? I hope they treat you right and get it worked out. I have the exact build as you that is currently on its way to the dealer and I hope it’s not another statistic.
Thank you. Situation is so deflating and in all honesty, they should do something more than they are or likely are ever to do as suggested. Best update I can give today is they ordered a “transmission valve cover” and the part has been expedited by senior Stellantis executive. I have heard of this situation happening to new XR deliveries multiple times in the last week. Service rep says he is confident parts are not coming from standard reputable suppliers and it’s being reflected in final product and delivery. I can’t help think there likely will be an XR recall in the near future.

Others have received free extended warranties for dealing with problems shortly after delivery. You might push JCC to do the same.

They already offered that to me after first lemon. Doesn’t help when second one might be a lemon also. They need to do much more.

Yesterday (Friday, November 5, 2021) around noon, I received the email I've been waiting for.....an email from Craig at Koons Tysons CDJR (Tysons Corner VA), letting me know that my JLURxr has arrived! It arrived exactly 12 weeks and four days from the day I ordered. This is about what I expected, since he told me back when I ordered (on August 10) , that it could take anywhere from 3 to 4 and a half months to arrive. So just slightly under 3 months wasn't so bad...and my trade has increased in value significantly since early August.
Koons Tysons CDJR is in my local metro area, but I'll have to wait until Monday, since I'll Craig is off all weekend, and I have other activities planned. I can't wait until Monday to pick it up. Will post photos soon.

. . . realizing each day–
Well after entering paint back in the first week in October, returning to gather parts the end of last week, today our JLURXR made it to G - Trim with entirely new VIN/VON numbers. Apparently, there was a problem with the original frame or body? No idea as this is all Jeep Information shared:

This is a courtesy email update regarding your all-new Jeep Wrangler factory order status.

I presently show your order has been cloned and is following an enhanced and prioritized production schedule.

Cloning is a manufacturing process for vehicle orders that sit too long in one status. Our factory resources put through a secondary VIN/VON order with the same vehicle specifications and make sure that the clone keeps moving at an enhanced and expedited rate.

Currently your new Jeep Wrangler is progressing through the build process, it is presently in the trim portion of the build process. The new VIN for your Jeep Wrangler is 1C4JJXFG5MW000000.

Additionally thank you for your response Bruce, the case number that can be used to reference your file is 00000000. When you reach out to us for updates on the case if you reference that case number the agent will be able to view the details of your case.

As promised, we are continuing to prioritize your order with our factory resources to ensure your order remains prioritized for next steps.

I will continue to monitor your order with our factory resources teams. Once additional updates become available for your order, I will be reaching out further to you to share these updates. Your authorized ordering dealership will be an additional excellent resource for any order updates or questions you might have.

I will continue to follow your order and provide details as they become available. Thank you for your loyalty and we’re proud to have you as a member of the Jeep Family!

Sincerely,

Cara

Our dealer says the estimated ship date is now the end of this week. We will see. At least we are moving again, and hopefully quality control caught an issue before it arrived home in the hill country. Perhaps it will be a good Christmas after all—

The Build sheet showed this morning on the servlet site, (no way to edit my vin/von numbers on crypto's I can find). https://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=[insert your VIN])

I may have to watch the build videos, again. We are excited and hope it all goes smoothly this time–

Delivery day finally arrived yesterday afternoon!

Even though it was not always easy having to wait, it was definitely worth it. It took exactly 12 weeks and 6 days from the day that I ordered (Aug 10) to the day of delivery (November 8), which is pretty much what I was told to expect.

I've purchased several vehicles in the past and this was probably the best buying experience I've ever had. This was my first factory order ever.

Thanks to the advice I found on this forum, in late July2021, I joined Tread lightly, then emailed several dealers (both local and out of state) with my specific build. I purchased my new Wrangler at 6.5% below factory wholesale pricing, which is about 13% below the MSRP (sticker price)!

I strongly recommend Craig Benner at Koons Tysons CDJR. He can be reached at the email below:

[email protected]

Craig was very organized, answered all of my questions promptly, and there were no unpleasant surprises. There was also no pressure of any kind to go with dealer financing, or purchase any extras. He follows this forum, so he's aware of the issues some people have reported with fuses not being fully seated from the factory. Craig

personally checked all of the fuses for me.

So far, I'm loving my new JL. The Xtreme Recon package is so awesome. I would have been satisfied with the stock Rubicon 33" tires, but I'm glad that I got the XR.

Question for current extreme recon owners. On my gladiator and current 4XE I have used Rokblokz mud flaps to keep the rock chips at bay. Are those of you with the Xtreme recon currently noticing that the fender flares/extensions are stopping rock chips on the door hinges/doors?
Asking as I am considering adding an Xtreme Recon to the stable, wondering if I will have to get more mudflaps.
Thanks!
