The video made it look way tighter than it actually was, but it was still pretty snug in there. Trailer had doors on the sides so you could open up the Jeep doors and hop in and out pretty easily. The dude was really good - and it arrived in perfect condition.

From DEALER: "It is showing it is scheduled to arrive at the railyard on the 5th of November. It does take about 5 days after that for us to receive it at the dealership."

From JC today:

I have good news for you, ETA is finally here, and I am showing that your vehicle is in the shipping stage. Current Dealer ETA is between 11/06/2021 - 11/16/2021

TBH I've been quite busy so I haven't yet reached out to dealer since 10/23. But assuming this timeline is rather close to accurate I'm hoping to be in it within the week.



EDIT: meanwhile...boxes have begun piling up in my office. lol

Thank you for the suggestion. I really appreciate it. I had a friend who lives down the block with a lot of car experience and he disconnected the battery for a few minutes last night and it got the computer to reset and was able to get the vehicle out of the middle of the road and drive it home a few blocks. For everyone out there, it definitely works and saved me about 2 hours in the rain waiting around for a tow truck!!!! Hopefully the dealer will be able to figure out why it happened in the first place and hopefully it’s a quick part replacement for something that won’t happen again but I’m not holding my breath. The temperature under the hood (mainly around the fuse box) was so hot that I was worried the fuses would eventually start melting or a fire would start. Engine was only on for about an hour or so It’s definitely disconcerting.

The erratic behaviors you describe could be due to those lose fuses. Hopefully the dealer can get this sorted out for you. For everyone else that will be taking delivery soon, it seems like this fuse box detail should be one of the items checked. This and the over inflated tires are the two recurring issues that are regularly posted on the forum.

When I took delivery earlier today mine had about a dozen fuses that I showed the salesperson weren’t “clicked” into place. You could here them clicking in place and echoing in the delivery bay as I pushed them down ?

Tires were at 41 with the passenger front at 45. Rode super hard. Dropped to like 37/38 and felt better. Will go down to 35 soon.

I don’t understand why PDI doesn’t catch this stuff…

Congrats!!! It looks so good in blue with that soft top!

Also, I've been watching all the SEMA coverage; it's clearly the year of the Bronco. It's amazing what the Broncos are getting away with. That soft top looks so good on the wrangler. Ford had a target, they just missed it. Lets not even get started on those hard tops.

Before I take the hard top off I'm running it to a window tint shop that has done all my vehicles... gotta get the black out tint for AZ. Then immediately remove the top and put on my CMM mirrors.

2nd on the list is the AUX switches... don't be like me and order from factory w/out tow package.

Budget some time. Those aux switches are way more trouble than they have any right to be. I did the install on my last JL.
