Possible different styles of M186?

Hello!

I have a manual sport 2 door. So it has the M186, but then I ordered a front diff plate for it. Link below. But there's absolutely no way it's coming up against the diff in the rear portion. I even ordered a second plate thinking the first was welded wrong. But I do see some pics with it installed and it seems maybe my bell housing is different?

Any thoughts appreciated.

I checked your picture and the ones on the Extreme Terrain site from buyers and I can’t see where the problem lies… most likely me missing sth that’s too obvious; care to dumb it down for me?
