Oooh, let me play. El Dorado County Sheriff's department jeep, built for the express purpose of patrolling the Rubicon Trail which is a designated county road, and is extremely popular/crowded. This image is from EDSO's facebook page from a couple years back.

Placerville, CA is one of the most affordable places to live in California, cost of living is only 6.8% higher than the national average .... i.e unlike most of California, it costs "about" the same as much of the rest of the US.
